Windsor U9 Boys Travel Team and Rec Plus(Coed) Tryouts When: February 21st, 7:00-8:00 pm Where: Sportsworld, 222 Main Street - East Windsor

Windsor U9 Boys Travel Team Age: Born in 2009 or later. Travel soccer is a competitive level of play. The emphasis is placed on higher level skill development and game tactics. Teams are placed in Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) divisions based on the overall skill level of the team. Travel teams will play both home and away games against other towns in their division. This program requires twice a week practices and twice a week games. The program runs in accordance with the CJSA schedule for 8 – 10 weeks depending on the season and the number of teams in each division. Selection to a travel team is based on competitive tryouts. Teams will be formed based on skill level, age, and gender. All players wishing to try out for U9 Boys Travel Team should register before the tryout for the Travel Program online at www.windsorsoccer.org beginning February 1, 2018

Windsor Recreational Plus Age: Born between 1/1/2009 – 12/31/2011. We believe that learning to play soccer should not be expensive but attainable for all families from diverse backgrounds. The Recreational Plus (Rec Plus) team is designed for new and returning players ages 6 to 9. It will focus on dribbling, shooting, passing, movement, fitness, balance, and most importantly fun. Players will participate in friendly games during the fall, winter, and spring season. Our games will not be high-pressure events, we will not keep score, we will have field monitors, and we will work to encourage the growth of our players. There will be opportunities to buy team gear at an additional cost. The Windsor Rec Plus team will help all participants further their soccer knowledge and skills. Your children will learn and grow while being assisted by our coaching staff. The Rec Plus program trains one day a week with one game on the weekend.  All players playing in the Rec Plus program must also play in the Windsor Recreational Youth Program as well.  If you are trying out for Rec Plus you need to be registered in the YDP program.  Registration information for the Rec Plus program will be posted soon.
